Burlington Stores is looking for a process improvement and safety minded Industrial Engineer, II to join our Supply Chain team!This position supports the supply chain organization through a variety of projects focused on enhancing productivity, reducing expense, maximizing throughput and ensuring workplace safety through data reporting and analysis. The Industrial Engineer II will assist in providing improvements to operations, work measurement, methods, materials usage, work station and material handling design, and training with the goal of improving processes and productivity. This will directly impact throughput and increase cost savings across all distribution centers.Burlington Stores is a Fortune 500 off-price retailer with over 600 stores and growing! • Lead and execute the development and maintenance of accurate and effective engineered standards through time and frequency studies.
• Define and maintain "Best Methods" for all job functions including training of management and hourly workforce on productivity and work methods
• Support business objectives and expense and throughput improvement initiatives through needs assessment, work methods flow analysis, recommendations and project implementation.
• Use appropriate project management tools to plan, develop, and coordinate the completion of assigned tasks and deliver quantifiable results.
• Test new concepts to improve the flow and setup in the distribution centers. Support the design and implementation of material handling equipment incorporated into existing, new and expanded network buildings.
• Support capital projects when required with work sampling, cost justification (Return on Investment), and cost/benefit analyses.Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, with at least 3-5 years of experience. Our ideal candidate will have experience in some of the following areas: Distribution Center Operations in a National Logistics Network, Incentive Programs, Manhattan Associates Supply Chain suite preferred or Statistical Analysis. Preferred certification in Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, or Project Management.Come join our team.
