OverviewOur team supports the growth of digital sales channels to help our users explore, purchase, and use our products. As part of the Global Business Development organization, we invite you to use your passion for sales and knowledge of the geospatial industry to become an integral part of the team leading our ArcGIS Marketplace sales strategy. We're looking for individuals who are forward-thinking regarding digital technology and have the ability to clearly craft messages and communicate sales enablement content to a cross-matrixed organization. You'll work closely with the Director of Global Business Development to develop business strategies and key digital sales initiatives through market analysis, competitive business analysis, and strategy development.

Responsibilities:



  • Impact change. Support Global Business Development in operating a sustainable and predictable online marketplace that delivers success to both Esri and its customers. Develop and execute Esri's digital transformation strategy for PaaS and SaaS offerings to drive Esri as a digital leader with higher revenue creation; a larger, more diverse customer base; and extraordinary customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver results. Drive integration and orchestration across all Global Business Development sectors, marketing, services, and partner organizations to ensure the 'One Esri' approach. Ensure sales sector alignment and brand consistency across platforms and campaigns. Develop reporting mechanisms for sales managers globally (inbound and outbound) for more robust data capture, aligned sales goals, and marketing strategies.
  • Understand the market. Conduct research and provide analysis of Esri's new markets, competition, and products. Analyze the competitive environment and future trends and make recommendations based on findings. Provide updates on market conditions to track company progress in designated verticals.
  • Be an expert. Leverage marketing analytics to understand and forecast product and industry trends, map customer decision-making journeys, and make organizational assessments to deliver high-impact recommendations to Global Business Development and marketing leadership for KPI measurement, campaign tactics, and marketing investment priorities. Lead the ArcGIS Marketplace sales strategy and implementation as it pertains to digital sales, sales enablement, and marketing. Stay up-to-date with developments in digital technologies.
  • Tell our story. Develop messaging and sales enablement content to advance sales in the new digital framework. Identify advertising needs to advance Esri as a digital leader.


    Requirements




    • 3+ years of enterprise sales experience, digital sales market analysis, or business development consulting, having operated in a strategic function within these roles
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills including ability to summarize data/analysis for executive leadership review
    • Strong analytical and research skills, including ability to independently build business case models, conduct market analysis, and make recommendations for sales plans and strategies
    • Experience with competitive research, analyzing market trends, and developing persuasive messaging for a sales organization
    • Demonstrated knowledge of geospatial and software industries
    • Able to present and support visual storytelling across all levels of the organization
    • Bachelor's or master's in GIS, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
