Teledyne Battery Products currently has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our Team. This position is key to Battery Products' performance for customers, continuous improvement, reduction in cost, improve sustainability and developing best practices. The successful candidate must be data driven and results oriented to work closely with operations and the manufacturing leadership. This position supports quality inspection and objectives of the organization in a management capacity by developing, implementing and maintaining quality assurance systems and activities. Develops, implements, and coordinates product assurance program to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to: * Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change. * Meets quality assurance financial objectives by estimating requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. * Develops quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures; monitoring inventories. * Maintains Customer, Regulatory, and AS9100 compliance; Lead audits and take the lead for quality engineering in addressing the audit findings. * Material Review Board (MRB): Lead Material Review Board (MRB) in support of both factory and supplier quality control and improvement * Manage FAA Conformity Projects by providing support during FAA Conformity Projects of Test Articles and Test Set Up, or as part of an external Organization Designation Unit Member ODA-Unit Member. This may include factory quality inspection support, issuance of the FAA Form Statement of Conformity #8130-9, witnessing any required acceptance test procedure. * Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures. * Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods. * Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations. * Daily availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines. Qualifications . Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in a related position and 2-5 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience. * DMIR certified or willing to become DMIR certified * Aerospace industry experience required. * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions before groups of customers or employees of organization. * Demonstrated knowledge of ISO and AS9100 required. * Ability to manage multiple projects with excellent time and project management skills in a fast-paced environment to adhere to timelines. * Ability to establish goals and objectives to complete projects while monitoring specific objectives assigned to individual department. * Up to 10% of Domestic travel with some notice will be required.
