Management (QM) Registered Nurse (RN) Specialist serves as a member
of the clinical team and provides support to the Quality Management
department by assisting with quality functions, quality improvement
and regulatory compliance. The role helps to develop, evaluate,
implement, and monitor programs and procedures to assess and
improve the quality of systems and service, and for the integration
of the QM Program into LLUHC clinics and departments. The RN will
provide support for Peer Review activities, Policy and Procedure
Committee, Credentialing, Patient Relations, Quality of Care and
Safety, Group Administrators and physician leadership. Performs
other duties as needed.
Bachelor's Degree in nursing required. Minimum two years of
experience.Must have a clinical knowledge base. Data management,
report development, analytic and performance improvement (PI)
skills are required. Requires ability to accurately input data; and
proficient computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and
Access) required; graphics knowledge preferred;
operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the
position. Must communicate positively, effectively, and
professionally at all levels of the organization. Strong leadership
skills are a key to leading teams, including problem solving,
critical thinking, conflict resolution, and consensus-building.
Ability to apply process improvement (PI) principles is highly
beneficial. Assertiveness and consistency are required to comply
with policies and regulatory standards. Requires excellent verbal
and written communication skills - high proficiency in grammar and
able to express thoughts clearly and concisely, attention to detail
and works well with others. Ability to exercise good judgment in
sensitive and confidential matters. Must be a self-starter, who
perceives a need and takes initiative to accomplish the task.
Requires ability to proofread for context and content accuracy.
Ability to calculate, manipulate and interpret numbers; analyze,
assess and evaluate; explain and teach.Active California Registered
Nurse (RN) license required; Certified Professional in Healthcare
Quality (CPHQ) certification preferred. Other clinical or
healthcare education (Pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, Public
Health., etc.) will be considered.
