Radiation Therapist Location: Irvine, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,959 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/5/2026 About the Position Job Title: Radiation Therapist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Radiation Therapist Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 3 years required; 5 preferred License: State License Required Certifications: BLS; ARRT T Must-Have: - Adult Outpatient Experience - CBCT/kV/mV Imaging Experience - External Beam Therapy Experience - IMRT - Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy Experience - Radiation Safety Experience Description: Seeking a Radiation Therapist for a unit treating a high volume of patients daily. Approximately 60-70 patients are treated each day. 40 patients are treated using TrueBeam technology, 25 patients using Ethos, and 5 patients using MRI-LinAc. The patient base is primarily adults and geriatrics, with occasional adolescents. The Radiation Therapist will work as part of a diverse team that includes 13 Radiation Therapists, 3 Dosimetrists, 3 Physicists, 3 Registered Nurses, 4 Physicians, 3 Front Desk Staff, 1 Biller, and 1 Aide. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with flexibility in start and end times based on the needs of the unit. No weekends or on-call shifts are required. Documentation will be conducted using the required electronic health record system. Grey scrubs are required. The Radiation Therapist will receive an adequate amount of orientation and training time before beginning independent work. Required skills and experience include: - Treating various cancer types such as prostate cancer, benign brain tumors, Hodgkin's lymphoma, and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. - Familiarity with respiratory gating, stereotactic radiosurgery, and Varian technologies. - Providing care for patients with various medical needs and conditions. - Skills in emergency response and patient/family teaching. Preferred skills and experience include: - Experience in teaching hospitals. - Knowledge of CT simulation, custom molds, and billing for treatment types. - Understanding of patient care in various situations, including restraints.
