Position description
The Rady School of Management (https://rady.ucsd.edu) is committed
to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and
student body, and has occasional openings for temporary non-senate
faculty (Unit 18 Lecturers). The Master of Science in Business
Analytics (MSBA) program, as well as the Innovation, Technology,
and Operations research area at Rady, are seeking candidates who
will support and enhance its teaching mission. Rady offers a
Business Analytics Minor and a Technology, Innovation, and Supply
Chain Minor for undergraduate students, in addition to classes for
graduate students. Ideal candidates will contribute to the
development and delivery of high-quality education. Undergraduate
and graduate courses for which Business Analytics and Innovation,
Technology, and Operations lecturers may be needed during the
2025-26 AY include but are not limited to:

MGT 151R: Business Analytics
MGT 153: Information Technology in Business Analytics
MGT 403: Business Analytics for Managers
MGT 413: Operations Management
MGT 415: New Venture Development
MGT 440: Supply Chain Cost Management Strategy

MGT 449: Topics in Operations and Technology (Operations
Strategy)
MGTA 454: Business Analytics Capstone Project
MGTA 456: Supply Chain Analytics

Appointees must comply with School and University instructions,
deadlines, and policies regarding course scheduling, and are

person, online, or mixed. Appointments may be part- or full-time,
for 1, 2, or 3 classes per quarter and 1, 2, or 3 quarters in
duration in an academic year.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Information Systems,
Business Analytics, Data Science, Marketing, or other related
field, such as Statistics.
Qualified candidates will have at least one year of teaching
experience or specialized field expertise in a business
discipline.
Preferred qualifications
Graduate degree in Operations Management, Information Systems,
Business Analytics, Data Science, Marketing, or other related
field, such as Statistics.
Subject matter expertise, typically obtained through practical
business experience of 5+ years.
Teaching experience of 3+ years.
