Title: Assistant Operations
Location: Redlands, CA
Duration: 4+ Months
Shift: Mon - Fri 10am - 7pm

***NO LICENSE REQUIRED***

***MUST be willing to operate a forklift (certified is a PLUS) AND pallet jack (site will train, but operating the machinery is non-negotiable) ***

This position works with the operations pharmacist, operations supervisor and pharmacy technicians to coordinate, assemble and package patient orders for shipment. Responsible for maintaining the stock in the warehouse area in a clean and organized manner. Responsible for conducting physical inventory and daily cycle counts for shipping materials (not medication). Restocks the pharmacy packing areas.

Physical Demands:
This position is physically demanding requiring an individual to lift up to 30-50 lbs. Must be able to stand, walk and lift for several hours at a time.

Work Environment:
Warehouse may be licensed in some states by the State Board of Pharmacy and therefore have security/pharmacy restrictions. May be exposed to hazardous materials through the packing and shipping processes.

Position Summary:
This position works with the dispensing pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to accurately and efficiently prepare patient medication orders, package customer orders for shipment, receive and stock supplies and various other duties.

Duties:
Package orders for shipment in accordance with *** Specialty guidelines. Perform job duties in a clean and organized manner.
Label and ship orders based on *** guidelines.
Responsible for maintaining the stock in the warehouse area.
Responsible for restocking the packing station with shipping supplies.
Responsible for sorting orders based on courier and class of service.
Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment.
Retrieve shipping documents and labels from printers to complete the orders.
Assist in the packing and shipping of medications.
Track shipped packages making sure that patient is in receipt of shipped package.
Organize and complete the daily opening and closing checklist for review by branch manager.
Receive shipping supplies (ice, cooler, zip-lock bags, labels, stickers, gel packs, foam, etc) via back dock.
Ability to learn computer system and work with MS Word.
Also responsible for other tasks related to placing purchase orders, receiving inventory, tracking and reconciling inventory balances, and selecting product and supplies under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Organized, detail orientated and problem solving skills important to the position.
Ability to reach, twist, turn, bend, stoop and walk.
Ability to read, write and understand English.
Ability to use 10-key pad on computer; computer knowledge.
Ability to operate a manual pallet jack desired (will be trained to use the automatic pallet jack and forklift). This position is physically demanding, must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Experience:
REQUIRED
Preferred: fork-lift certification
Minimum of six months general work experience
Prefer three months of work on computer experience.

Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
