Eeg Technologist Ii Job DescriptionJOB TITLE: EEG Technologist IIDEPARTMENT: Operations EXEMPT (Y/N): NSUMMARY: The EEG Technologist II is R. EEG T. credentialed and is responsible for providing high quality patient care while performing Ambulatory EEG testing and Routine EEG studies based on national guidelines and company policies and proceduresESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Stay up-to-date and follow all quality system procedures related to this job, which can affect the quality of products or services provided to our customers.* Comply with all company policies and procedures.* Remain discrete and sensitive to patient specific age, culture, gender and medical conditions.* Ensure safety and welfare of all patients, including those with special needs.* Adhere to Universal Precautions.* Properly and thoroughly disinfect equipment in accordance with Infection Control guidelines.* Ability to use several pieces of equipment and perform multiple clinical procedures.* Must strictly adhere to confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards.* Report for scheduled work shifts on time and in proper attire, wearing name badge.* Provide problem resolution and client satisfaction.* Fulfill annual training and health screening requirements.* Able to make discriminating observations, and follow-up with the appropriate physician if indicated.* Flexible and adaptable to changing needs.* Promptly report issues to management.* Comply with established deadlines.* Promptly follow up with patient calls as needed.* Maintain company equipment in your possession.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EEG T. certification required.* Maintain current American Heart CPR certification.* Experienced in working with all age groups.* Must be flexible to meet census demands.* Ability to work within rapidly changing environments.* Interact with patients, physicians, coworkers, and visitors in a courteous, professional manner.* Demonstrate proficient time management skills.* Remains current and compliant with company policies and alerts.* Fulfill annual training and health screening requirements.* Demonstrate self-motivation to maintain profession competency by participating in continuing education conferences, seminars, and other opportunities as able.Language Skills* Must have excellent oral and written communications skills* Must be able to hear efficiently to communicate with patients.* Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals and technical procedures. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, physicians and general public.* Mathematical Skills* Ability to calculate figures such as 10/20 International System of electrode placement, travel distances and allotted procedure times.* Reasoning Ability* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.* Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:* R. EEGT certification through ABRET. Licensure is required in certain states.Travel Required: Estimated 60% office work. Some travel to other clinical sites, patient homes, and/or hospital settings may be required.
