Description The Forklift Operator ensures all off-loaded product is put away in an efficient and safe manner to avoid product damage using various types of material handling equipment. All pieces must be maneuvered securely in and out of racks, floor locations, or bulk stacking, and work must be completed accurately to ensure proper recording of inventory within the facility. Core Responsibilities Operates power equipment in and around warehouse efficiently and safely. Ensure accuracy of product are scanned in/out of WMS. Ensure inbound product and transfers received are stored in designated rack areas. Operates Order Picker (Cherry Picker), Reach Trucks, Forklifts, Turret Truck, Electric Pallet Jack and other industrial equipment. Support non-forklift functions, duties and projects that may be assigned. Regular attendance is an essential function of the job. Essential Functions Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions. Understanding of WMS systems. History of safe operation of forklifts. Ability to lift and maneuver heavy furniture cartons as necessary up to 150 lbs. with team lift.
