Overview

The Construction Technician ensures that structural upgrades and repairs are installed properly and on time.

Responsibilities

* Works with a team to install required structural upgrades for accounts


* Maintains a high quality of installation


* Loads and unloads materials


* Performs job site cleanup and maintains vehicle with equipment for each project


* Makes minor structural and cosmetic repairs as needed


* May organize equipment in warehouse


* Maintains compliance to all PPE and safety regulations per OSHA and company standards



Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent


* Minimum 2 years of construction experience


* Experience Installation/Removal of ground or roof mounted solar system's (Preferred)


* Ability to drive a vehicle during the normal course of business. Must maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check throughout the course of employment. Must be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid driver's license


* Strong work ethic


* Ability to use power tools


* Ability to follow instructions


* Ability to work safely in a branch/warehouse/rooftop environment



Physical Demands

* Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)


* Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces which requires frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, turning, standing, and balance


* Ability to work in confined spaces which requires kneeling, crouching and climbing ladders


* Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including but not limited to: excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet environment, and humidity


* Ability to frequently utilize hand functions requiring fine motor skills including but not limited to: fine manipulation, grasping, and pinching


* Up to 25% travel may be required
