- Budgeting and Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the annual production budget, ensuring
alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Monitor production costs, identify areas for cost optimization,
and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce
expenses.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to track
expenses, analyze variances, and make data-driven decisions to
improve profitability.
- Production Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop production schedules based on sales forecasts,
inventory levels, and customer demand.
- Coordinate production activities to maximize resource
utilization and minimize downtime.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes
and improve productivity.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure
compliance with food safety regulations and industry
standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address
quality issues promptly.
- Work closely with quality assurance teams to implement
corrective and preventive actions to maintain product quality and
consistency.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of production supervisors, operators,
and support staff to achieve production targets and operational
excellence.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and
collaboration among team members.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance
employee skills and performance.
- Health, Safety, and Environmental Management:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental
regulations and standards.
- Promote a safe working environment by implementing and
enforcing safety policies and procedures.
- Investigate and address safety incidents and near misses to
prevent recurrence and promote a culture of safety
awareness.Profile
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in food manufacturing
operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business
Administration, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of food processing techniques, equipment, and
regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP).
- Proven track record of driving operational improvements and
achieving measurable results in a fast-paced manufacturing
environment.
- Effective Communication Skills - verbal and written - a must;
bilingual a plus.
- Prior experience in Food Manufacturing.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced
environment.
- Proven leadership and ability to train and develop
subordinates, including the ability to conduct training sessions
for all plant personnel.
- Must be willing to work occasional weekends and long days when
necessary.
- Deep knowledge of production management
- Understanding of quality standards and health & safety
regulations
- Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
- Experience in reporting on key production metrics
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
- Outstanding communication ability
- Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
