Job Overview WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS MANAGER - REDLANDS The Redlands, CA, operation is a full beverage regional distribution center (RDC) shipping B2C and B2B pods and brewers. The site operation will function on the foundational principles of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), Lean manufacturing, and the power of High Performance Teams. All associates at the Redlands site will have specific accountability and ownership not only to the site operations, but to the functional business operations of which they are a part. The site will run on enterprise information technology systems with processing, packaging, and material movement equipment, and best-in-KDP standard processes. The Regional Distribution Center Manager is responsible for the overall operational performance of the Redlands RDC. This involves coordinating and leading all activities to meet or exceed our daily delivery performance commitment to our customers with emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency. LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for the leadership of 50+ RDC Team Members, 20+ temporary associates, as well as contracted operations ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the Redlands RDC operations including material handling, fulfillment and shipping. Work with others, including the Regional RDC Director,to establish plans and the strategy for the RDC as well as communicating goals and initiatives with key stakeholders. Focus on implementing best practices and delivering on strategic initiatives. Establish policies, procedures, and processes that enhance safety, efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain a great work environment. Act as member of the Redlands Operations Leadership Team and be a role model for KDP Principles and Code of Ethics. Meet RDC goals and corporate goals that enhance the success of the business. Foster a culture of learning, career development, safety, and a focus on quality. Maintain proper training requirements for all personnel. Maintain standard operating procedures for all areas of the operation. Provide performance coaching, training, key business information and direction to direct reports to clearly define work objectives and identify performance expectations. Coachs RDC Associates to develop leadership skills and maintain focus on mission, goals, measurements and boundaries. Develop and maintain the budget, forecasting costs and capacity, and conducting regular analysis of financials and performance metrics. Accountable for managing RDC teams within approved labor and budget plans to achieve key business performance objectives. Ensure Safety and regulatory compliance standards are met. Responsible for coordination, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the department/team and creating a positive climate of engagement. Supports new innovation programs, technologies, and systems by providing distribution expertise from inception to implementation to sustainment. OTHER NECESSARY FUNCTIONS: Follow all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards, safety requirements, good manufacturing practices, quality, and food safety requirements as directed by KDP or specific regulating agencies. Assure compliance with Company, State, and Federal Safety requirements. Maintain a clean work environment and manage all aspects of waste disposal and recycling following appropriate procedures. Must be able to travel with this position. Perform other duties as requested by management. Requirements 7+ years of experience working in a fast-paced distribution or operations setting in a management role. College Degree in Distribution, Operations or Engineering preferred. Experience working with warehouse management technology, specifically SAP. Strong communication, presentation, and people skills. Ability to manage the work of others and set priorities. Ability to get along with others, be punctual, and follow instructions. Ability to follow KDP policies and procedures. Ability to use Microsoft Office products competently. Experience in change management techniques and employee culture development. Experience in safety, good manufacturing practices, quality, and food safety programs. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS : Performing leadership in an operations environment (50% of the workday) Office, Meeting, and Computer Work (50% of the workday). Ability to lift 30 pounds on a regular basis and 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to constantly lift, bend, stretch and stand during entire shift.
